How can someone force themselves to get over someone and just stop loving them?

its really hard if you really love this someone. With me, its been 3 years and i still love him. It won't work if you try to think that this someone's a jerk and all that cause later on you'll regret filling your minds with lies. if the case is that you want her/him but can't and its breaking your heart and you don't want to love her/him because it hurts you, try your hardest not to think of her/him or if that doesn't work and try to talk about your feelings to her/him if you 100 percent know that she/he would understand and wouldn't make fun of you and that they know that you love them.
If this is the first time falling in love, then it'll take a while to get rid of the feeling becaue its your first time and you don't know what to actually do. if any of my advice doesn't work, then try what I'm doing now; accept all the facts because you cannot overcome something or do something about it if you won't accept the truth, like you still love her/him and this and that, cause if you won't accept the truth your mind and heart would be all confused and you don't want that, trust me.
If you feel like you want to move on but still want to dwell in the past and your stuck in your own path, keep moving forward, but that doesn't mean that you can't still think of him. Don't dwell in the past, keep moving on, you can't wait for him forever, you have your other goals to accomplish. if you happen to think of him, keep thinking of him and don't force yourself to much not to, forget that your heart was ever broken and just smile when you're having a hard time, i know you won't forget about her/him that easily, but don't look back.
if you ever stop walking in your path and look back, remind yourself that you gotta be strong, don't fill your mind with anger and hate, just accept the facts. It'll take time, a lot of time, and you might feel on giving up on this advice, if you ever try it, don't give up. you gotta be strong. remember that ;)......

If someone truly loves you they will try to hide it. Most of the time it works but sometimes they'll just come out clean tell you they love you and ask you out on a date or something.
Why are some people not happy if they are not in a intimate relationship?
My theory is that people like that aren't happy with themselves in general. They haven't learned to love themselves and enjoy just being with themselves. And when they finally do find someone to be with, they really aren't "happy" with the relationship, either. People like that find it easy to be suspicious, jealous and insecure within the relationship, always fearing that their partner will leave them and they'll be lonely again. But there's a difference between being alone and lonely and that difference is in loving themselves.
