Humans have changed the environment by stripping large areas of trees and other natural plants, disrupting the cycle of water in that ecosystem and turning a temperate location into arid desert. Humans have brought animals into new areas where they take over the niches of native animals and change the food cycle, including the plants consumed by the vegetarian population. Goats strip the landscape, rather than grazing off the tops of the grasses and other plants. This can make a grassland into arid land. Humans can level hilly areas and build massive towers close to each other, causing wind to move through the city in a chaotic manner - some areas dead of an breeze and others with strong air flow that can knock a pedestrian down.
