Loosen the fan belt and take it off. Then with a long half inch drive socket wrench or torque wrench, let the tension off of the accessory belt and remove it. Make a diagram of how it is installed before removing it for easier installation. Took me all of a few minutes once I figured out which bolts to loosen to get the fan belt off. Putting the accessory belt had me scratching my head for a moment until I finally figured out how it went back on. I forgot the make a diagram first! This was a four cylinder engine by the way.
There is no timing belt on a 305 unless it is an aftermarket belt drive system.
