Could you stay if the mother-in-law changed her behavior? Is that possible? Can you talk calmly to her? Maybe you can help her see how stressful everything is. If you can't talk to her, then your husband should. There may be financial factors that make it difficult to move. Do you share in all the financial decisions? Perhaps if you stand up to his mother more, she might think it's a good idea for you both to leave...
