Call Ruger and they will tell you.
You rifle appears to have been manufactured in 1983.
No. Your Mini-14 is a 183 series. The first three numbers in the serial number, followed by a dash, are the series code. Ruger made changes to the Mini-14 with the introduction of the 181 series. Many 180 series Mini-14 parts do not interchange with 181 and later series parts.
The Ruger Mini-14 has never been able to accept the M16/AR-15 magazine. A proprietary magazine for the Mini-14 has always been used. If you find a way to convert a Mini-14 to accept STANAG magazines, I'm open to suggestions, but I have not been able to find one yet.
I believe those were made from about 2000 to 2003.
Semi automatic rifle made by Ruger.
You can contact Ruger's customer service to find out.
100-500 or so
$350 to $800, depending on WHICH Mini-14, and condition.
Yes, it is legal. In Alberta anyway.
580 is the newer version of the Mini 14 Ranch, minor engineering changes, improved accuracy, etc.
Well, being a certified gunsmith, and one who is very familiar with the Mini 14, I'd recommend you mail it to me. However, there's a good probability that you can find a gunsmith locally who can do whatever it is you need done.
