Take it to the shop, and have them adjust the timing. It is a lot faster and easier for them to do it for you.
To fix the Pontiac Sunfire if it jumped time, the timing belt has to be replaced. Then the car has to have the timing set again after the belt is replaced.
timing belts are fairly easy to fix ,you need the # on the belt to get the right replacement ,go to an auto body shop, they know how to do this job.
Replace it and do not drive this car again until you do.
i changed timing belt and timing chine but my car know need good fix and not start very well, please help me
The only fix for broken timing belt or chain is to replace it.
how do you fix timing on wipers 2000 buick regal
If the car is in good condition yes.
A "timing set" includes all the parts needed (new timing chain, tensioners, sprockets, etc.) A timing set for this car costs $132 and up.
No it will not. Unless it has slip so mush that it has changed timing. Check the ignition timing for your car, make sure that it's correct. If not you have to fix it ASAP.

Yes but it depends on whether its worth the trouble or not. Sometimes when the timing belt breaks it will cause the pistons to slam into the heads. this can be a very expensive fix
