It is much better to be responsible to begin with and get your parent's approval. Vet bills, food and other needs can easily get beyond your capabilities to take care of them. This is so not fair to the animal in question. Dogs and cats can live a long time: college dorms don't take pets, and apartments charge a deposit and an additional monthly rent.
Answer
Well, it depends on the size/type of pet. If you just really want a pet, and absolutely don't care what kind you get, tell them you are learning about life science in school, and say you are doing a project that requires an accessory form the pet store. Tell them you will be just 5 minutes so they can wait outside in the car, go inside, buy dog treats, dog toy, etc., and get a little fish (some fish cost as little as 12 cents) or a small cheap hamster with a tiny cage. Just put it all in a shopping bag and be sure you don't swing your bag!!!! Then when your parent asks what you got for the project, take out the dog toy, dog treat, etc. And say, and I got a couple other things too. When you get home, keep your new pet in a place where your sibling/parents never look, such as under your bed, in your closet, etc. You really can't get a dog w/out keeping it somewhere out of your house. If you want a cat, make sure you get one that doesn't have long hair. Make a tiny litter box, and use the same trick (school project) from before to get a small bag of cat litter. Just make sure when you aren't home and you parents/siblings are, the animals are well hidden. NOT IN A CLOSET OR UNDER A BED. THEY NEED AIR AND LIGHT. Lock your room, maybe? P.S.-I tried all these tricks with other secret pets. They all worked, especially the fish and cat. They were a secret 'till they died! The cat was kept secret for 1 year, but then my mom found it when I forgot to lock my door one day and she went into my room and found the cat. She then realize how much i had fallen in love with the cat and let me keep it.
So i hope this helped :)
you can get your freind or reletive on board and if they agree they can go pick up the animal for you and they neccesarry items now when you go over to there house say its a sleep over bring a extra bag-bags depending on the item size then when you bring it home in the morning say you didnt sleep welll then go to your room and unpack make sure you have a crate and put the pet in a closet or places your family wont look then if you want to show your parents the dog get a box and write free on the front after that put the puppy in there and put in outside then yell to your parents oh no a puppy can we keep him-her and i hope that helped
Usually it depends on how good of a liar you are. If you suck at lying on the spot then there is no way that you'll keep a puppy for more than a week without your parents knowing. Though, if your a good liar, and you have an excuse for everything then you can probably get away with it for a while, even possibly months. It also depends on how much money you have because dogs eat a bunch. They have to get food at least 2 maybe 3 times a day. You also need to house train which takes a long time. The final step to secretly getting a puppy is how long each day your parents are gone or if they'll be home all day. What are you going to do with it when you go to school or out. These are all important things to think about before secretively getting a puppy. =)
You could go to the pet store without your parents. If you dont live in town go visit a friend who does and go with them. Then when you are at the store buy a hamster and there you go you have a hamster as a pet. Now for the keeping of the hamster either A. Keep it at a friends house B. Keep it in your room in secret spots changing the spot every so often or my favorite (warning involves a little work)C. tell your parents you did a project at school about gardening and you want a green house tell them you don't want them to help you and put a lock (combination of course) the door (tell them its to keep out raccoons or something). Then make a spot in the back for your little buddy.REMEMBER : if you do the green house one get a few easy to grow plants that survive well in a greenhouse so it will look more believable. I hope it works out for you!
You have to convince them you are capable of caring for it as well as paying for it.
Also, maybe if you tell them people with dogs live longer. :D And act very responsible. But if your parents are toostubborn, maybe just give up and get a puppy when you grow up. :)
Before you buy a pet ask a friend if they are allowed to keep one and if so you could visit your friend and raise it there
I wouldn't recommend trying, because they'll find out sooner or later, but you can try your friends or going to visit your friends and then sneaking to the animal shelter. Good luck! :)
I live at 19 Russell Street and my mom doesn't know yet I want a short leg kitten
I got
a hampster because it is very small and you can hide it under ur bed
that can't be answered without knowing what kind of pet it is.
donβt tell your parents then :)
I think you meant "how do "I" lose weight without my parents knowing?" My first question would be, why can't your parents know that you want to and/or trying to lose weight??
pretend that your pregnent
Don't tell them.
of course
dont get one
You don't.
wet the bed alot
Trashed
you know i would not try it. because you will have to pay for it, look after it and then have it taken away from you after your parents find. but if you were to try i would get a hampster because birds are bigger and make more nosie. but dont do it!!!
