You can't get extinct animals to "come back". Extinct means all members of the species are gone. Scientists have tried genetic engineering in some cases where there is a very close genetic link to the extinct animal, but it's still not the same thing. Perhaps in the future we may be able to do a "Jurassic Park" and insert complete DNA into a cell, but that's still in the future.

∙ 14y agoAt the moment scientist are working out a way to recreate extinct animals. They have actually started to grow Tasmanian Tigers using mice, it is a very slow process but they hope that in years to come we will soon have our old species back with us.

∙ 12y agoIt's not clear what this question is asking. It is reasonable to ask how animals can be saved from extinction but, once they are extinct, what can you save them from?
There are a few cases in which biologists are attempting to resurrect certain recently-extinct species from DNA samples but, so far, none of them have been successful. The technology envisioned in "Jurassic Park" is still a long way from reality. Currently, there is no known method to "save" animals that are extinct.
