NO! NEVER PUT TOOTHPASTE ON A ZIT! IT ONLY BURNS YOUR SKIN. IT HAPPENED TO ME AND I HAD TO PUT SMELLY MEDICINE ON IT AND THE BURN MARK LOOKED WAY WORSE THEN ANY ZIT!
Hey, I have the same problem. Even though this may not get rid of your zit overnight it will help.
If your a girl: Put acne cream (like a dollop) on it every night but wash your face before hand. Keep your face clean and free of oil. If it isn't gone by morning, put concealer on your pimple and some blush to cover it up. No one can tell (do this till it goes away)
If your a boy: You can use makeup (it's a little weird I might admit but you CAN try it). But if you don't want to do that ( I honestly don't blame you) keep your face clean and free of oil. Try putting anti oil anti acne cream on your face at night. Clearasyl or Clean and Clear are two options.

I like to put some aloe gel on it (the stuff to help sunburns) and let it sit until it gets to an opaque color. Then wash off with water, but don't scrub. Before washing it off clean your hands really well, you don't want to get more oil on the zit. After that, pop it if you want to, but use a Klenex or tissue. People say to not pop it, but if you do pop it gets out the gunk inside. Then, just sit and watch a show or something. Next, get some redness relief eye drops and take a Q-tip, wetting the ends with the eye drops. Leave the zit alone and it should heel in about a day.
Another is just using the redness relief eye drops.
Lastly, wipe off all the oil from your face and clense with some nutrigena or clean and clear face wash.
WARNING: DO NOT use benzoil peroxide medications. It works for some, but for me it burned the skin and left scars. They have heeled now, but don't take the risk.

∙ 14y agoOne really good way to get rid of a spot over night is to put a small amount of toothpaste on the blemish. Then in the mornig wash it off with a gentle clenser. Do not pick it off as this could make the blemish worse. Thie metho tends to work better on yellow pimples, but reduces the redness on other types very well.

∙ 13y agoWhat I usually do is just use a face cream. I just put a dab of it on the area of the undergrounder, leave it there and not rub it in just let it sit. That usually will take care of it.
