∙ 12y agoMost pool service techs offer an acid wash service where they drain the pool and clean the plaster with an acid solution. Not recommended for the inexperienced. Acid washing done incorrectly can cause streaks and stains and is dangerous. Use a professional. Most plasterers would probably say never empty the pool especially when the temp is high for fear of cracking. Again use a professional. Don't skimp on hiring a pro, a new plaster job can cost thousands.

∙ 15y agoUse a hand pool vacuum on it If you find that it is blocking the filter too quickly as you are doing this vacuum to waste rather then taking it through the filter. If you don't have a vacc to waste facility just let the vacc hose hang outside the pool and siphon onto the ground.

∙ 13y agoAdd shock, vacuum bottom, then scrub bottom with a stiff brush. keep filtera nd pump running for several hours. Repeat next day if water is green.
