I had the same problem with my 2004 TB EXT LS V-8. The type of radio I have also included the cassette feature. My CD got stuck found out the cam that pushes the CD out broke. Was cheaper to simply replace it with a used radio.
Note: Because the radio is tied into your factory security system, You will need to have the replacement radio re-coded by a Chevy dealer or it will not work.
The factory CD player is trash. Many failures noted to date.
Purchase a replacement
This is a dealer item. They can reset it.
The side with the name of the CD goes face up.
Unless you can get to the aux input to plug in a cable for an mp3 player you are stuck with CD audio only. www.trailvoy.com
how do you install a aftermarket radio in 1986 caprice
Read the car manual, in the page were it shows the dashboard fuse panel find the radio fuse pull it out and put it back in with the fuse tool. This resets your radio, it did the trick for me with. Good luck AA My email is Charzar93@aol.com I Got my TB's CD player to work after I unpluged the battery then pluged it back it...try it it works
Remove the radio fuse under the rear seat, in the fuse box, leave it out for about a minute and then put it back. this is what worked on mine and my dealer told me to do this.
Yes you can install this CD changer into a 2003 Silverado. It shouldn't be too hard to remove the standard radio and replace it with this.
The standard factory radio was an 1 1/2 DIN AM/FM/Cassette. If you wanted a cd player, an aux cd player was installed in the slot under the AC/heating controls.
I need to replace the after market radio/cd player in a 2003 Chevy Cavalier. How do I get the existing radio out and install a new one. How do you remove the dash trim without damaging the retainer clips and all the other plastic parts, then install the new after market radio/cd player?
me and my buddy have that problem we just beat on the dash he has a 98 Chevy truck and if that don't work keep beating on the dash above and around the radio and on the redio its self
