You have to be very careful with cats. They can get liver damage after just a few days of not eating. You really need to talk to your vet about this. It's nothing to fool with (although I'm sure you are taking this seriously).
At first try a few basic things, like a little soft food. Don't plop a lot in a bowl, but try to feed your cat by hand a little at a time. Try to feed it a couple times an hour, just a little bit. If you can get it to even nibble at the food, it might help. Stroke your cat and talk gently to it while offering it food. Make if feel calm.
Don't serve it cold food. Warm it up a bit - not hot, but just warm. Warm food has a stronger smell and might encourage it to eat.
Try warming a little low salt chicken broth. Plain cooked chicken is fantastic as this usually helps to settle a cat's stomach.
Make sure you have plenty of fresh water available. If it isn't even taking in water, go to the vets immediately.
Above all, do not let it go on for more than 2 days. Get to the vets.
of course no they will get sick
yes she wont eat and when she does she has the the runs
A katydid will not make a cat sick if he eats it. Cats can eat bugs without the bugs making the cat sick.
Yes your cat can eat squash but he probably won't like it. He may get sick.
If they have to throw up they eat grass.
Because it's hungry
It could be a comfort zone for the cat, or the cat is sick. Has it been acting sick?
You rock! Save
I very much doubt that a cat can get sick from the smell of urine, and cats are far too picky to eat faeces. It may, though, try to eat the hamster.
No but if they eat a lot they can get really sick.
A cat can eat teriyaki sauce. There is no serious risk to the cat. The cat may feel sick and vomit but there is no need for medical attention.
I've never seen a cat eat dirt but it might have been eating grass. Cats eat grass when they feel ill and it helps them be sick. Keep an eye on your cat after it has eaten grass.
