There are some cheaper car amps which have inputs directly from the speaker leads of the radio, as well as RCAs. An RCA- only amp won't do, because the input level would be too high. I suggest you get a CD/ tuner with RCAs. they're cheap.
Factory radios do not have RCA jacks on them. Only after market radios have them for hooking up external amps.

A 2002 Chevy Impala does not come with an RCA jack. A jack can be added to the radio via an adapter.

NO, they have a harness for it on eBay though for 50 to 75 dollars
You can use the same cables.
How about a audio cable with two MALE RCA jacks on each end. If both units are not stereo, use a "Y" cord to convert stereo to mono.
What you need is a line level converter. This device pinches off existing, amplified, speaker wires coming out of your OEM deck. It has RCAs on it... It changes the value of energy from amplified to line level, which your amp is looking for. You will need the standard amp install kit after that.
