  • You have to lose weight off your entire body in order to see the results on your face. Fortunately, the face is one of the first place to see the results of your efforts. I do face toning exercises since I was about 13 years old. All you have to do is distort your face and hold it for a count of 10secs. For example, you can open your mouth wide, and hold it. Or you twist your mouth tight to the left, hold and then the right, then hold. A really good one to do is practice lifting your cheekbones by smiling with your mouth closed, up and then down. You can do this in the car, in the shower and before bed. Trust me it works!
  • Do cardio exercises like jogging, biking, swimming. Works for me. If you lose fat in your body, you would likely lose fat in your face.
  • Food intolerance or food sensitivities can sometimes cause a face to be fat even when the rest of the body is slim. If you think that might be the case, try a food elimination diet. To learn how to do that properly, you will need to buy a goodbook on food intolerance/sensitivities/Allergies or borrow a copy from your local library. Make sure the book includes instructions on how to accurately put into practice a food elimination diet

Bicycling is a good form of exercise, but mostly for the legs and pelvis and low back. You cannot lose weight in one region, weight loss is "all over" your body, despite some claims made on TV and in ads you cannot lose weight in one region. The only way to lose weight in one region is Liposuction, and I don't know if that is done on or near the face.

Smile really big for about 5:00 mins and listen to a song whilst doing something such as facebook etc. I normally listn to 2 songs in a row to cover the time which resally helps, it feels werid at first but keep doing this!

That depends on whether or not you are overweight in general or if the problem area is just your face. Masked or hidden food intolerance can produce fat, round faces (even when the rest of the body is slim). Certain medicines can cause this too. If you think that might be the case, you will need to use a food elimination diet and a food rotation diet to discover the culprit foods or drinks (these will not be the same for everybody).

To learn how to do that properly you will need a good book on food intolerance/sensitivities/allergies. You can borrow a copy from your local library or buy one. Make sure the book includes instructions on how to accurately put into practice a food elimination diet and a food rotation diet. That can work wonders for a fat face if masked/hidden food intolerance is the cause. On the other hand, if the problem is that you are you are overweight in general, rather than just a fat or round face, then you will need to lose weight in the usual way.

Yes, your face can change noticeably as you lose weight. In the course of losing 50 pounds a few years back (actually, I lost more than that if you account for the extra muscle I put on), my cheekbones became more pronounced and my face became leaner-looking overall.

However, to the best of my understanding, it's not possible to lose weight just on your face. Whatever weight we lose comes from various places on the body according to our personal physiology, so the idea of "spot reduction" (for instance, losing just stomach fat) is pretty much a myth.

As hinted in the other answer on this page, weight-loss occurs over the whole body, or not at all. You can't slim just your tummy, or face, or whatever, despite what the ads claim, and despite the application of heat or other methods. That's why patience is necessary, as well as a long-term plan.
