Not entirely certain about this one but on most cars you can look up from under the front bumper and if you can see the hood latch you should be able to use a screwdriver or a pliers to trip the latch.
No, the third and fourth generation are a different Chassis.
Assuming that you want it to work correctly, you don't. Install a new cable instead. A new cable will be inexpensive, easy to install, and it will work.
The fuses on an 85 Honda Prelude are located in the panel near the hood release and under the hood. The main fuse box is located against the firewall in the engine compartment.
on my BMW 3 series da hood cable is stuck how do i open my hood
my hood stuck on left side
1992 thru 1996 models should fit
When the hood is stuck you need to push down on the hood just above the "H", sometimes quite hard. Then the hood release will work and open the hood.
Yes, the fourth generation prelude should have identical hoods regardless of the year. Call your local dealer or consult a OEM parts vendor to make sure the parts numbers match.
Just ask for wiper nozzle for prelude it has its own lock that usually breaks when its brittle due to heat under the hood.
no parts for a 89 go thru years 88 thru 91
Listen carefully, go get a sledgehammer and then slam the hood with it as hard as possible.
www.cb7tuner.com Will answer all your problems
there are actually 4 injectors on a Honda prelude if its a four cylinder car and are located behind the valve cover if looking under your hood looks like a rail with 4 points toward the valve cover. jenny
Should be two people doing this as the hood is quite large and difficult to handle. Open hood Remove lines to nozzles Remove bolts holding it onto the hinges on either side Remove hood
Reach through the plastic grill and pull cable!!!!!!
go under the bumper and find the cable that runs to the hood and pull it realy hard
its in the fuse box labeled signal starter on the cover and its inside car by the pedals not under the hood.
The hood release cable snakes into the cabin of the car through the firewall. To replace the cable remove the old wire. Zip tie the new cable to the old one and pull it out. This will easily snake the new cable into place. Install the new cable on the release and lever.
on the passenger side under the hood, it is black and round with either a hose at the top and bottom or two hoses at the top.
spray it from the inside with wd40 see if that helps...
To fix a hood latch on a 2003 VW Jetta that is stuck shut, the car should be put up on a hoist. A long pole will be needed to then trip the hood latch. Then the cable can be repaired and the car lowered.
crawl under the car and see if you can see the hood latch and cable grab the cable give it a good YANK to the right it may take a few tries but it has worked for me before, hope it works for you.
Firing order is 1-3-4-2, the degree of timing should be listed on the engine catalyst on the underside of the hood.
by the hood lever in car there is a knob u turn and there are mmore fuzes? (thats where more are this is an educated guess)
the hood latch is not releasing this could be due to a stuck/broken hood latch or something wrong with the release mechanism (broken/stuck cable, handle came off of cable, etc...) use screwdriver(s) through your grille to pull the lever that would be pulled from the cable. best thing to do is get a new hood latch from local parts store and look at it to figure out how it works so you know just what to press/pull/activate on the car -R.
