On a Mac, the entire iTunes library is stored in its own folder along one of the following paths depending on your version of iTunes:
[startup disk]:[user name]:Music:iTunes:iTunes Music:
[startup disk]:[user name]:Music:iTunes:iTunes Media:
Note: You may copy or move either of these folders to wherever you like. But, if you move or rename whichever one your library is in, iTunes might not be able to find your music and you'll have to put the folder back to where it originally was and give it the original name.
You have to tell iTunes where you put the folder. Go to Preferences -> Advanced and choose the place, where your iTunes music library should be.
1) Open iTunes. 2) "File" 3) "Add File to Library", or if you want to add all songs in a folder, "Add Folder to Library" 4) Double click the file or folder you want and click OK.
Clicking on the music's icon and dragging it into the iTunes window will add it to the iTunes library or select Add To Library... from the iTunes File menu.
Copy the file/folder you have downloaded into 'My Music' (found within 'My Documents') Once the music has copied got to itunes and under file select 'Add folder to Library'. Find the folder you just added and select it. itunes will do the rest.
You can choose any location for the export from Audacity such as a "Music" folder on your Desktop or even the iTunes "Music" folder if you have one. However you must still import this file from the exported location into the iTunes Library (which makes it visible when you view Library > Music on the left-hand panel of iTunes). There are two ways to import your exported audio files into iTunes:
Open up iTunes and the folder your music is stored in. Drag and drop it from the folder into iTunes.
Put all of the music files in a folder on your desktop then go to the corner in itunes and click add file to library and it should add it.
I don't know if you have already tried this, but make sure you know which folder the music goes into once it has completed, then, on itunes, selcted "file" then "add file to library" and browse the folders to find the file you want, alternatively, if it is a complete album, select "add folder to library" and browse in the same way, your music should then appear in your itunes library
* Download the song(s) you want. * Go to library. * Highlight all the songs. * Click save. * name folder(or leave it as lime wire) * open itunes * go to file * "add folder to library" * sync songs on to ipod!! then your all done!! :)
No.
No, but you have to use the iTunes program to put it in your iPod. You can also buy albums from a store or use albums that you already own by burning them to your computer. Once they are burned to your computer, find the folder where the music is stored. Then, go to iTunes and click on file, then click on import folder. Locate the folder that contains all of the burned songs and select it, then press import. The songs should then be in your iTunes song library.
If it is already an mp3 file, you just drag it into iTunes from the folder it is in.
