I just did this today. There is a wheel you can access through a hole in the back. If you turn it upwards it brings the shoes in a bit and should loosen it up. If the drums are very rotted like mine were it might not work. What I had to do was use a grinder to cut through the face of the drum and then whack it with a hammer and chisel a few times and eventually it cracked and freed up and I was able to remove it. I did this knowing I would need new drums regardless.
