You can't, you have to replace the ignition switch
If the key is stuck in your 1998 Mazda 626, the steering wheel column may be locked. To remove the key, adjust the steering wheel and turn it clockwise to the proper position. Then try removing the key.
Short to power in the horn circuit, relay stuck in the closed position, stuck horn switch.
stuck? how is it stuck? if you have removed all (4) bolts then it should slide off.. if not push hard on the caliber to depress the cylinder making it easier to slide off
If it is stuck on the spindle, then you must destroy it to get it off by prying it off and use a cutting wheel to split the race and cold chisel to remove the final piece. Be very careful not to damage the spindle or hub when removing stuck bearings or races. You could try using a 2, 3, or 4-jaw puller to remove stuck wheel bearings, or if they're stuck in the hub take the hub to a machine shop for removal. Chances are, if the bearings are so stuck that a machine shop has to remove them, you'll need new races installed at the machine shop anyways. If you mean that the hub assembly is stuck to the steering knuckle after removing all of the bolts (usually 4), just tap the hub assembly on the sides with a hammer and it should break free. Then you need to use a puller to pull the assembly off of the driveaxle.
beat it off with a rubber mallet or get hub puller at part store
The Steering Column locks the wheel in place and when the steering wheel is locked you cannot turn the key... try turning the key with gentle force while turning the steering wheel back and forth.
I only know that my mechanic had to beat the old ones to a pulp to remove them. He said they get stuck sometimes and don't slide off like they should.
How do you lower a stuck tail gate on a 1993 Dodge 250 pickup?
If the parking brake pedal on your 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 is stuck to the floor, you might have broken the parking brake cable. Remove the rear tires to see if the cable is still attached and replace it as needed.
there is a small cable in the steering column by the shifter arm it is probably broken
Did you try gently twisting the steering wheel a little? I've had mine get stuck and if you jiggle the steering wheel, it will most of the time get unstuck.
