the easiest answer is to Google your Guitars specifications if you want to be super technical the best place to check is possibly stewmac or a guitar building forum.
here's the dimensions to help you out , these are all in inches based off of what Dunlop has to offer who make the best frets arguably
personally I like 6100 or whatever extra jumbo frets ESP makes are, they offer a better bend and longer life for frets , remember to go stainless steel it'll last 20 years
yes usually electric guitars go up to 22 frets some metal guitar go to 24 frets.
22 frets
the average electric guitar has 22 frets but some fenders and others have 21. and more aggresive guitars have 24 and go up to 30 and more.
The height of the strings from the frets.
Easier to shred on but you will lose tone.
That depends on the type of guitar you have. I work with Guitars everyday so I see guitars with 12 frets, 14 frets, 17 frets, 21 frets, 23 frets and occasionally I find 24 fret guitars (with the double octave of the open string) the most frets I have seen was a 29 fret electric guitar. The guitar was custom built though. Most commonly, you will find acoustics with probably 14 to 17 frets and electric guitars with 17 to 21 frets.
Not all guitars have frets, however, it is probably best to learn using frets.
This depends on the number of frets on the guitar. Because of the way the strings are tuned, if a guitar is in standard tuning it has 26 + the number of frets possible notes, so a 22 fret guitar would have 48 possible notes and a 24 fret guitar would have 50.
If I understand correctly, the pardas on a sitar correspond to the frets on a guitar. Different guitars will have a different number of frets. Some electric guitars have a full two-octave neck, which means 24 frets. More common is for guitars to have 20 or 21.
only time will tell, louder more powerful pickups , more frets, more strings, more technology to make playing easier. skys the limit
It depends on how may frets the guitar has. Follow the link in the related links section to see the notes as they are in a standard tuning.
Because it is not a guitar
