I think you mean axle shaft joint. A crunching noise, especially when turning corners suggests bad axle shaft joints.
The shaft seal will leak or not work when the system has been properly bled.
How do I know if a shaft is bad on a Ford
Water pumps fail due to a bad bearing and/or shaft seal. Look at the bottom of the pump. There is a drain hole in the casting below the shaft. If the seal is bad then coolant will be leaking out of this hole.
the only way this can happen is if the power steering pump shaft goes bad and forces the belt out of alignment. The crank shaft is ok
how do you replace half shaft on 2992 ford escape
it makes a knocking sound when u turn the wheels.
Look under the vehicle. If there is a drive shaft going from the front half of the vehicle to the back half of the vehicle then it is AWD. If no drive shaft then it is FWD. If you're still not sure after looking at it take it to a shop, they will tell you for free.
Sounds like a bad CV joint or half shaft. Have a mechanic check it out.
I had this problem what you need to do is remove the half shaft to get this out because there is no room to get it past this point. Sorry for the bad news.
One symptom of a bad crank shaft sensor is the car having trouble starting. The car stalling and backfiring are other symptoms of a bad crank shaft sensor.
Its not that bad of a task just can get a lil messy. You have to remove the wheel first. Then the brake caliper with assemble and then the rotor. Remove the cotter pin from the half shaft (drive shaft). You will have to remove 2 nuts (17mm) and 1 bolt (17mm) from the ball joint. Then you can lift up the whole strut assembley and manuever it so you will be able to back the half shaft out. Once the half shaft is out, you can pry/beat out the wheel bearing (toward the engine). Installation is the reverse of removal.
