You don't. (Well, you could find out if you REALLY wanted to, but it's difficult and prohibitively expensive, unless for some reason you really cannot wait a couple of months to find out ... you draw off some aminiotic fluid and examine it under a microscope to see the chromosomes in the cells; ZZ means it's a male, ZW means its a female.)

It's difficult even for people whose specific job it is to tell the sex of young chicks, let alone eggs. Most people who are not professional chicken sexers need to wait until they're several weeks old, and even professional sexers usually have a success ratio of about 90-95% at best. "Girl" and "boy" chicks just aren't that different in most breeds, though in some cross-breeds the males and females have different colorations.

Unless you are skilled at vent sexing, like they do to chickens, many lizards are very difficult to tell the difference between a boy and a girl. When my iguana laid eggs, I knew she was a girl.
