Remove starter and bring to auto parts store for testing
well my friend flint and dustin (laxton) said there Nissan Altima 3.5 went 145mph
fog light not working and radio light went out
if my oil pump went on my 01 altima is it worth fixin or do you think the engine is shot
No, they are not compatible. The Altima completely changed its body style starting in 2002. If you want to match up an airbag with a newer or older Nissan, take these steps. First, write down your vehicle VIN number located beneath your windshield. Your Vin number provides a Nissan dealership with the required parts for that vehicle. Assuming that you pulled off an air bag from a different car, make sure you write down the VIN from the car you took the donor part off of. Call the dealership and have them interchange the to Vin numbers from your vehicle and the donor vehicle. Once they do so, they will tell you whether or not the part in question can function properly in both vehicles OR if they are even compatible. Aside from all this, an airbag from a 2000 altima will NOT work NOR fit into a 2002 Altima because they went to a completely new body style that year.
If the starter does not turn then it could either be bad or not getting power. If a volt meter can not be used to determine that voltage is present, then the starter can be pulled and taken to be tested.
its probbaly the starter. i have a 1993 and mine went bad. check all the wires and tighten everything that's loose and if that dosent work put a screw driver across the terminals on the starter and if it dosent turn over then the starter is bad
check distributer i had the same problem oil got into the distributer and messed it up whenever i went to a like 3 rpm then the car wouldn't run after sputtering for awhile
I actually removed mine today i thought it went bad it was only the clutch inhibitor switch anyways the starter is located on the back side of the engine on the drivers side of the carthere are two bolts that your going to need to remove there like next to the throttle body then remove the two wires runing to it these are a little tricky i had to use a small ratchet to fit in there to the main and the smaller on just unclips then your going to have to slid it towards the passenger side of the car where theres an opening hope this helps you
I went to Auto Zone......they ran me off a copy of the belt diagram.....any place like that....Pep Boys, Auto Zone....they will run you off a copy of the diagram
It should be a KA24. It's a 12-valve engine that works better for trucks, IMO, than the 16-valve (altima) engine that went in the '98 and later models.
Turn the dimmer switch up. Just kidding I'm sure you looked for that.
if starter is turning but not cranking engine, u need to replace starter or starter solenoid and yes i have had a starter go out just like that and when mine went out i was 90 miles from a new one had to get a buddy bring one out
