By doing a series of fuel pressure tests. Recommend that this is done by professionals with the proper equipment.
I think the fuel pump is the regulator on fuel injected engines. The FPR is located on the driver's side of the engine, it has a vacuum hose going to it and is held on with a spring clamp similar to AC connector clamp. On most 1996 Chevy Tahoes the fuel pressure regulator is actually inside the intake manifold. You must remove the intake manifold to replace it.
Why the heater or defroster may not work in a 1993 Chevy Caprice Classic because of the heating core is going out.
It should be on the fuel rail on the engine. It should have a vacum hose going to it and a return line running back to the tank. Drivers-side rear, I think.
There isn't a vacuum line going to the regulator on a 1998 Dodge Caravan.
Our 1994 was listed as 24/26 , but my father swears it was 34 on the highway going 70mph>
That's going to be on the fuel rail at the intake manifold
First depressurize fuel system remove vacuum line going into the top of regulator loosen fuel line nut going into bottom of regulator remove screw attaching regulator to fuel rail gently tug regulator outboard then up do opposite for installation
either your fuel pressure regulator is bad or the fuel pump is weak and going
Likely, either that or the regulator for the pressure bladder is shot.
hard start ups. wont pick up speed.
You will need to test the pressure of the fuel system with the regulator on and then disabled. You will need a manual for the correct pressures. Be sure to read the fuel warnings in the manual as the fuel rails will be under pressure even with the vehicle turned off.
usally about 8 or 10 degrees BTDC will work fine to get it going.
