If one is bad they are probably both bad. Replace them both. My 1990 CV joint on the Driver side was bad, it caused a loud "bumping" noise you could feel thru the floor and the stering wheel would jump and buck, in your hands, as well as drift off to the left. I'm agreeing with replacing them both, if one is bad the second is sure to follow. Check at a local auto parts store for refurbished ones, if you turn in your old ones they will give you some money back for them, turned out to be a great deal.

"clicking" when taking turns -- indicates CV joint is going bad
it makes a knocking sound when u turn the wheels.
Yes it does if the car is moving. Because the CV joint is part of the axil if the car is moving the bad CV joint will be moving too. or No it will not make noise if the car is in neutral and the car is not moving.
Signs of a faulty CV joint are CLICKS coming from the front of the vehicle while performing sharp turns. To really put this to the test, you should drive backwards in tight circles, if you hear any clicking you have a bad CV somewhere you should be able to tell which side of the car it is coming from. Try not to drive very far on a bad CV joint, because you could become stuck out in the middle of nowhere!
clicking when turning.
Bad CV joint.
I think you mean axle shaft joint. A crunching noise, especially when turning corners suggests bad axle shaft joints.
Check the "boot" for cracks and see if there is any loss of grease. The boot is the rubber housing around the CV Joint. If the boot is damaged, grease has escaped and the CV Joint is making noise, the CV joint must be replaced.
Sounds like a bad CV joint. On most cars, it is often more economical to replace the complete axle shaft on that side that has a bad cv joint. Hope this helps. Good-luck!
The CV joint boot is bad, and needs to be replaced.
