You can't target fat loss to a certain part of your body. Yes you can focus more on a certain part, like doing crunches and other ab workouts to focus on your belly region, which will strengthen your core muscles and help you lose fat faster. But, if you're losing fat from that area, then you're losing fat from other areas of your body as well. If you have unwanted fats in your body, try losing it and build muscles instead.

Its inevitable, you first tend to lose weight the last place you gained it. But to make it easier sit ups, should do the trick. Even if you are a total couch potato like myself, I always do them during every commercial break. Also, cut back in calories, try not to eat fried food and stay away from any kind of potatoes. Honestly, it is really difficult to target where you lose weight. Instead, focus on doing exercises that help tone your tummy and love handles. A lot of time toning will give the appearance of weight loss without it actually happening.

Continue focusing on a well balanced diet, eating lots of fruits and vegetables, lean meats,whole grains, and low fat dairy products. Weight loss occurs when you consume less calories than you burn, so keep that in mind.
