If you have the regular set up that includes a skimmer, pump and filter then you don't have to waste any water. Get an lid-to-hose adapter, that fits over the skimmer basket at your pool supply store. Fill the hose with water and attach it to the lid. Place the lid inside the skimmer over the skimmer basket, then vacuum to your hearts content. Pool Masters

Above ground pumps have to be gravity fed, and the in ground pumps pull a vacuum and draw the water to them.

The very bottom part underground are the roots. The bottom part above ground is the trunk.
Use a hand pool vacuum on it If you find that it is blocking the filter too quickly as you are doing this vacuum to waste rather then taking it through the filter. If you don't have a vacc to waste facility just let the vacc hose hang outside the pool and siphon onto the ground.
No --- it is grown either from seeds or from the bottom of a stalk and grows above ground.
The top of the carrot comes out of the ground the bottom is growing below.
Like any other above ground pool, maunally with a hose, pole and vacuum, or with an automatic cleaner.

You can buy bottom rails/channels at a mobile home supply store. They are used for the skirting!
I always cleaned off the ground. Then I covered the area with sand. People will walk across the bottom of the pool in bare feet. You want it to be comfortable for them and you do not want the bottom of the pool to rip.
the cuticle prevents dessication
Gravity is a theory that i don't believe in. It's not anyway because the earth rotates and there is no on top or bottom
Have you used clarifier or flculent at any stage to clear the pool water. If you have the thick looking stuff is the clarifier or floculant settled on the bottom. The pool pump will pump this stuff only it is important not to put it through the filter as it will block it up in no time. Gently hand vacuum it to waste.
It should be on filter and don't forget to backwash at least once a week.
1 post on my above ground pool is high and the bottom of the post has widened. Should I try to dig under the post and fix it or just leave it alone?
