How come when I try to turn on my ipod an ipod charger symbol and an itunes symbol shows up on the screen and won't me on my iPod and how do i fix it?

The most likely problems are that either the battery is low - in which case simply charge it - or that it has encountered an error and needs to be restored - this is done through iTunes. If neither of these are the case, contact Apple directly and explain the situation to them.
