Answer 1
Though illiterate, could Muhammad have been taught the Revelation of Allah by his friend,"Waraka ibn Nawfal"?
According to islamic sources, the Qur'an was introduced to 'Muhammad' by the parental cousin( 'Waraka ibn Nawfal' ), of his first wife 'Kadijah'.
Waraka was a Roman Catholic Ebionite Priest living in Mecca, and one who had made detailed studies of the Christian Gospels and the Old Testament scriptures.
Muslim tradition maintains that Waraka was one of the believers in the Age of Ignorance, meaning that he was a believer before the prophecy of Muhammad. Waraka would frequently contemplate and pray at the Kaaba and began to read the Biblical texts in their original language and even learned to read Hebrew.
As Muhammad grew in age, Waraka's influence over him and knowledge of the sacred scriptures increased, which may help to explain the similarity between the Qur'an and the Holy Bible. Several years later, during Muhammad's reported first revelation (which is understood to be Q. XCVI: 1-5), Waraka recognized his call to prophecy as authentic and tradition recounts Waraka saying: "There has come to him the greatest Law that came to Moses; surely he is the prophet of this people".
Waraka, upon accepting Muhammad's prophecy, remained a Christian and, in later accounts, was counted among Muhammad's companions.
Muhammad is later said to have said of Waraka: "Do not slander Waraka ibn Nawfal, for I have seen that he will have one or two gardens in Paradise."

Answer 2
Many Muslims do not believe that Mohammed "read" the revelation. The Arabic verb Qera'a (قراءة) can mean "read" or "recite" and Mohammed would often recite the revelations he received aloud. Others hold that Mohammed was gifted literacy by being compelled to read by Gabriel and this is one of Mohammed's greatest miracles. Still others believe that he was not illiterate since he was a business man and probably knew enough writing to perform basic math and bookkeeping.
The One God Allah Importance of Charity
I wonder how it could be similarity between Muhammad's messages that are God real word revelation to prophet Muhammad and the song Muhammad Walks by Lupe Fiasco that are just human words.
The One God Allah Importance of Charity
Muhammad's quest was to convey the message of Allah and help as many people as he could in understanding it, while in the same place acting as a role model for all generations to come, as an ideal human.
First of all, the words are not Muhammad's (PBUH) they are ALLAH's (God's) words and the name of the book is "The Holy Quran"more info could be found here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quran
You could say 'computer illiterate', or perhaps 'modern media illiterate'.
Illiteracy was normal at that time and place. It was said that there were only sixteen men in the whole of Mecca who knew how to write. This might be an exaggeration; and there were probably many more people who knew how to read but not how to write. However, poor children like Muhammad were not taught to read. It was completely normal for boys of his social class to be taught practical skills but nothing academic, and it would have been surprising if he had been an exception. Actually it is thought that Muhammad was not completely illiterate, as there are hadiths that show he could read basic texts. But he was not literate in the sense of being "well-read". ___________________________________________ Muhammad was from a prestigious family in Makkah (or Mecca). His Grandfather was one of the highest advisory leaders in the town of Makkah (or Mecca). However, Muhammad didn't learn to read or write a single letter for a wisdom that Allah (or God and same God worshiped in Christianity and Judaism) required in order not to be said later that he learnt from old religions and faiths. Refer to question below.
Chorus Allahu Allahu Allahu Allahu Allahu Allahu Truly He is the One He has no father or son Everything in creation was by Him begun With His infinite power anything could be done Ask Allah for His Pardon And you'll enter the Garden Chorus Before Him there were none Of partners He has none He knows what is apparent and what is hidden All the fate of creation has already been written His Will is always done And can never be undone Chorus From amongst all humans Muhammad was chosen He was illiterate and he was an orphan Yet Allah sent him to those who were pagans Oh Allah let us drink From his hand in the fountain Chorus Ya Allah You're the Sovereign You're the Sultan of Sultans Please protect me from Shaytan and all of his treason Let him not with his whispers my iman ever weaken My only wish in this life Is to attain Your Pardon
when illiterate it can effect your job in the sense that it is about reading or you could get in a worse college than others
ALLAH sent Prophet Muhamamd(PBUH) to lay the basis of Islam, ALLAH revealed the holy book Quran upan Muhammad. After Prophet Muhammad passed away, QURAN and sayings of Prophet Muhammad's sayings are guidance for all. So these two are guidance.
What makes Allah (God) real is His creations. When Isaac Newton discovered the gravity, every one believed him although no one saw or will see the gravity. One believes in gravity because he doesn't have any other explanation for why objects when left free they fall down.Any object in our universe could be explained how existed or how started. However, if you ask yourself who caused this starting point or who caused this explanation, you find only one answer, It is God the Creator. What makes Allah (God) real is the Quran.Quran, the holy book of Muslims, includes many scientific miracles. It is meant by the scientific miracles of Quran that Quran included lots of scientific statements that was only proved by the current state of art of science and information. These statements are considered as scientific miracles because of their revelation in the seventh century (Quran revelation started in year 610 AD) while they were able to be validated only with the current state-of-art of knowledge, science and discoveries. How these scientific miracles could be explained. How could prophet Muhammad be able to recite these verses of Quran with scientific facts that he never even heard about and then these scientific facts become proved only recently. This is considered as a proof of two important facts: first that Allah (God) is real and He is the All-Knowing and the All-Wise; second that Quran, the holy book of Islam, is a revelation from Allah (God) to Prophet Muhammad and that Quran was not authored by a human-being or extracted from other human-being authored documents, as some may claim.
he was only messenger of messages of God. he was illiterated and did not write anything all his life founder is God who sent messages to him. shia: if you mean by founder the one who establish something from himself, the answer is No, Prophet Muhammad is not founder of Islam but he is just a messenger. but if you mean that Islam belong to whom, and the head of this religion, he is Muhammad. because Islam is known by him.
