First, this needs clarification if "leave out" or "remove" is meant.

It is added to prevent drinking, usually because what it is added to is highly toxic, and there are other agents (eg quinine) that will also make a substance bitter.

If you mean remove, distillation is the obvious choice but it might take a couple runs. Ion exchange resins may also be useful if they are compatible with the ethanol. Activated carbon would probably also work. Still, I would not advise ingesting any denatured alcohol unless it was chemically identified as pure and not laced with methanol - which will kill you or make you blind.
