Although Augustus had many accomplishments, I think his main one would have to be the changing of the government from one of a decayed republic to the principate.

killing jesus.......A little time lapse here, Augustus was dead long before Jesus died. Augustus accomplished so much that is difficult to single out one thing. The Pax Romana that began with his reign is probably one of the main accomplishments. The renovation of the city and its organization is another. His building programs yet another, the list goes on .
