Adolf Hitler was very happy that the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor (and other places) that brought Japan into war with the British, Dutch & Americans. He had encouraged this action for about a year. Hitler thought it would take pressure off Germany.
The reality was that it doomed Hitler, Mussolini & Japan. The military & economic power of the United States was building and by late 1943 was being felt in Europe & Asia.
