The Chosen people are Jews and He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, down to earth as a Jewish human to perform miracles and die on a cross to forever give them the ability to be forgiven of sins and go to Heaven.
Another Answer:
The original Chosen People were the Israelites - a Hebrew peoples with 12 tribes. Judah or Jews are just one of these tribes. They held the Scepter promise of a Saviour for mankind who came in the form of Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, all mankind can now be saved and become children in the God Family. The Birthright promise went to Joseph's two sons - Ephraim and Manasseh. While these tribes were still united, all Israel had physical blessing and wealth as can be read of the reign of King David and his son, King Solomon.
Soon afterwards, the Northern Kingdom with 10 tribes which included Ephraim and Manasseh, were captured and deported out of Israel - never to return until the Millennial Rule. Where ever they settled the birthright blessing of physical wealth and power remains to this day as God doesn't renege on His promises.

All people are unlikely people of God. No one is perfect, no one is worthy to be chosen or used by God. It is called GRACE: unearned favor, God's sovereign choice. This is what separates many people from God, they want to be the boss, and be their own god. But there is only one God, we can find His grace through God the Son; Jesus Christ. We can be chosen, by grace.
