In 1501 when the Princess came over from Spain to marry his brother Arthur. Katherine of Aragon was first married to Arthur (Henry's older brother and the heir apparent to the throne of their father, Henry VII), but Arthur died on April 2, 1502, only about 5 months after his marriage. King Henry VII, in an effort to keep up the Spanish - English alliance that had been so strengthened by Katherine and Arthur's (brief) marriage, promised Henry VIII in marriage to Katherine on June 23, 1503, (when Henry VIII was about 11 years old) to take effect on June 28, 1505 (Henry VIII's 15th birthday - Katherine was about 5 years older than he). However, they did not wed until June 11, 1509, shortly after Henry VIII became king (12 days before his June 23 coronation) on the death of Henry VII.
Catherine was betrothed to Henry VII's infant son Arthur, at the age of three. They first met on 4 November 1501 and married 10 days later at Old St Paul's Cathedral – both were 15 years old.

No-one ever heard Henry say her name in public again but there are numerous accounts of him mentioning her.*When Jane Seymour tried to take part in matters of state Henry used Anne as an example of what happens when wives interfere with affairs that do not concern them.* When looking for another wife after Jane's death, a French candidate was suggested. Henry remarked that he was tired of women with 'french ways'* When Anne of Cleves told Henry she wished to meet Princess Elizabeth Henry replied that Elizabeth's mother was so different to Anne of Cleves that the Princess wouldn't wish to meet her.
Henry VIII's most famous outing was most likely the Field of the Cloth of Gold, in 1520, where Henry VIII went to meet Francis I. The kings tried to outdo each other in sport, beaty and wealth. This outing was politically useless and nearly bankrupted England's treasury. I sincerely hope that this helps.
After Jane Seymour, King Henry VIII wanted to find a new wife fast and so he sent his artists to find him a new wife.. they painted Anne of Cleves beautifully when in fact she wasn't that pretty, and King Henry married her without actually meeting her! Hope I helped...
