Yes they did. Tadeusz Kosciuszko and Kazimierz Pulaski both helped in the revolutionary war.

Kosciuszko was a civil engineer, who planned defenses for forts, and retreats.

He was very close with Thomas Jefferson and Washington. He also helped in saving Washington's life.

Pulaski was an expert Calvary man. He is known as the 'Father of American Calvary'. He later died in battle. He mainly trained men, despite knowing very little English.
