Based on being located between the Arabian and Libyan deserts, Egypt became dependent upon the Nile River which flows north into the Mediterranean from Lake Victoria. Due to low rainfall in the region, the Nile was important to its development. It provided a fertile region in the middle of the two deserts and allowed Egyptians to develop a powerful empire based on agricultural wealth.
The vast deserts moved the Egyptians to the Nile River so they would have a source of water. Other wise, if they didn't live close to a water source, they would have trouble finding water and die of dehydration.
Geography affected the civilization in ancient Egypt because first, the Nubian desert is in the eastern region of the Sahara desert panning about 400,00 Km between the Nile and the Red sea.
