President Roosevelt traveled with several different modes of transportation, first the president boarded the presidential yacht USS Potomac at Quantico, VA on November 12th, 1943, at 10:38pm. On the following day Roosevelt left the USS Potomac and went onboard the battleship USS Iowa at 9:16am.

The USS Iowa arrived in Oran on November 20, 1943, at 7:16am and met up with his sons, Elliot and lt Franklin D. Roosevelt Jr and several high ranking officers, among them Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, Adm Cunningham (British commander in chief, Mediterranean). From there president Roosevelt departed to La Sena airport to travel with US army aircraft on to Tunis, Tunisia.

On the 21st, Roosevelt left from El Aouina airport at 10:10pm to embark for Cairo, Egypt.

Arriving 09:35am FDR's plane landed at Cairo where he met up with Winston Churchill and later generalissimo and Mme Chang Kai-Shek.

Several other high ranking officers took part in meetings with FDR, for more details see Franklin D. Roosevelt Day by Day online.

On November 27th FDR traveled from Cairo on to Teheran, the plane took off at 7:07am arriving at Teheran 3:00pm.
