At the age of four young carib boys were taken away form their mothers because they believed that if they stayed with them they will be come womanish (weak) . At the age of fourteen they will go through an initiation test whereby there will have to shoot a bird at a high branch if they are successful they would eat it then they would have a an agouti scartch their skins and then they would put poison in the wound the point is to not scartch but ton endure the pain. If they are successful they will be able to eat it , because they will have become a warrior and they will be sent to thier hammocks.
