When man was first created by God there was no hate in his heart or on the earth, because God is only good. Adam (first man) sinned against God, by following the direction of the devil . Hate and any other evil, ungodly thing comes from hell and the devil.

One may ask non-Muslims if theyreallyhate Muslims. Muslims never hate any one of any faith or nationality or color so far those don't attack their lands, expel them from their homes, or oppress them when practicing Islam ritual worships.Muslims are at war with whom they attack them, attack their lands, oppress practicing their Islam faith, or expel them from their homes. Apart from those, Muslims are required to seek peace, cooperatewith all people irrelevant to their colors, faith, or nationality.

Quran says (meaning English translation):

"

Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.

Allah only forbids you from those who fight you because of religion and expel you from your homes and aid in your expulsion - [forbids] that you make allies of them. And whoever makes allies of them, then it is those who are the wrongdoers." (Quran, ch 60, verses 8-9)

If we are to speak of the genesis of Islamic hatred, we should call that hatred by its proper name: Anti-Mohammedanism. It comes from the idea that Christians were followers of Christ, therefore, Muslims should be followers of Mohammed and would be called Mohammedans. The term Mohammedan was used through much of the Middle Ages until it was replaced in most European languages with a form of "Musliman" (Spanish musulmán, French musulman, English musselman, etc.). English made the jump in the mid-1800s to calling Muslims by the Arabic term "Muslim", which the other European languages have yet to do.

Anti-Mohammedanism, though, because of the time-frame in which it is set (i.e. Middle Ages) is a much more visceral religious and political hatred of Islam. There was a real fear in Europe that the OMINOUS THEY were going to take over. Islam, therefore, became the boogeyman and regardless of what Islam actually represents (or represented at that time) it was painted with colors of that immeasurable fear. Islam was a major world power for much of the Middle Ages. Umayyad Spain fought against three proto-Spanish States. Abbassid coins have been found as far away as Sweden. Ottoman armies besieged Vienna, Austria. It was not wholly inconceivable that the "European Way of Life" would come under direct threat. (This was similar to the perspective of the antebellum U.S. South.)

Hatred of Islam shifted in tone and character during the Enlightenment Period. John Adams once wrote in a Treaty with the Barbary States (of North Africa) that "America being free of religion has no quarrel with Musselmen". Islam was no longer threatening and much of the majority-Muslim areas of the world were subsequently colonized by European powers. Since World War II, there has been a massive immigration of Muslims into Europe, once again leading to many Europeans feeling like they are being invaded by a political force. This rekindled the Middle Age symbols but in an entirely new light.

The overwhelming majority of Non-Muslims oppose (either strongly or weakly) Muslim attempts to impose Islamic Laws on a country's citizens and people. Given that many Non-Muslims find the Islamic Penal Law outdated and horrendous and see that Islamic governments (such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, etc.) have sought to repress religious minorities, they are not interested in a government that seeks to rule by exactly these mechanisms. Many Non-Muslims in the West hold dearly to the idea that religion should stay out of politics in order to allow every religion the freedom to operate and discuss its views. An Islamist State would also be very restrictive to Muslims as well, forcing them to live in a Puritanical Way that would prevent differing local customs from informing the cultural richness that can be found in Islamic countries. Islamist regimes (like Iran) are notoriously violent to their own citizens and Non-Muslim compassion for Muslims (Anti-Anti-Mohammedanism) is greatly saddened when such regimes come to power.

One of the important tasks, though, for the Muslim community as a whole is to recognize that not all criticism of Islam is hatred of Muslims. And not all criticism of political actions by Muslims is not hatred of Muslims. While Anti-Mohammedanism is quite prevalent in certain communities, there are also non-Muslims who genuinely care about the mistreatment Muslims receive in their own countries and wish for them to have a better life, freed from that repression. Differences include: when Non-Muslims discuss specific political issues that bother them, like failure for women to have education, blasphemy laws, honor killings, and numerous specific offenses as opposed to just saying "they're barbaric and will never learn"; when Non-Muslims cite specific historical events and ask to discuss them as opposed to just saying that Muslims are wanton murderers; etc.. However, many religious Muslims, especially in the Islamic World prefer to tar all criticism of Muslims and Islamic governmental practice with the same paint regardless of its actual intent or nature.
