Being a computer novice, and not being a professional, this answer will be purely from a laymans standpoint. I have a Microsoft operating system and use Norton-Symantec internet Security Suite for my security. I have noticed what appears to me that when I get a Microsoft Update that parts of my Norton softeware have been turned OFF. I have to assume that Bill Gates and his crew are responsible for this. If my suspicions are correct, it is possible that this is how your firewall is being turned off.
