While there were numerous programs, College Education Assistance and Home ownership loans were heavily used and probably paid handsome rewads to America with the influx new teachers, doctors, lawyers,etc.

The GI Bill allowed MILLIONS of men to go to college and buy houses. 1. College-employment for teachers and administrators, and contractors to build more schools/colleges. 2. Homes-jobs for building contractors to fulfill the need for millions upon millions of new houses, schools, highways, roads, airports, gas stations, hospitals...employment for all!
