It is not true. Islam; as an Arabic origin word; means full submission and surrender to God. So, Islam is the faith since start of universe creation. All God prophets to mankind called for Islam in its general sense of God worship as the one and only one God with no partner, no son, no father, no companion, no associate, and no equivalence. Islam per God revelation of Torah to Moses is called Judaism. Islam per God revelation of The Bible to Jesus is called Christianity. Islam per God revelation of Quran to Muhammad is called the very name Islam as it is the last God message to humanity and as Muhammad is the last God prophet.

So, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are same source religions from same God for the same message.

Of all the questions I have answered here, this is one of the best questions ever asked and one of the simplest to answer.

One must understand who Ishmael is in order to understand the answer, therefore read Genesis 16 and 17, understanding who the covenant was made with. Then read Genesis 25:5-6, understanding where covenant and all Abraham had went upon his death.

Now. being of Abraham, Ishmael would have participated in the family activities and lived around the family, this is proven in Genesis 25:9 where you find Isaac and Ishmael burring their dad... Abraham.

Ishmael was never far off from the tribes of Israel as they were family via Abraham. Joseph, son of Jacob, would be sold by his brothers to the Ishmalites. Members of Ishmael would have been wherever their family was. Those of Ishmael would have therefore been familiar with the Temple and the teachings from the book of Moses, historically.

When the houses of Israel went into captivity, so to the priests and all the scrolls (how copies wound up at Alexandria in the library). If you have read the book of 2 Chronicles 36:18, there you will observe all the things of the temple being taken to Babylon. The captivity of Babylon later became the captivity to Media/Persia, the scrolls were there and they would have been studied by Babylon, Media and Persia. This is where the Hebrew would have had its initial links to what is now the doctrine of Mohammed.

However that is not the end of the issue, as Mohammed would mix Hebrew doctrine, with the doctrine of the philosopha (Common after Alexanders conquests). Therefore Mohammed's doctrine, (what you call Islam) is a mixture of both Hebrew and Philosopha doctrine.

Paul would warn against this mixing with philosopha doctrine in Colossians chapter 2, and Christians of late would perform that mixing exactly as Paul proclaimed they shouldn't, calling the doctrine "Liberation Theology or Theology of Liberation"

Its the use of Applied Dialectics from philosopha doctrine, which cause the "radicalized" versions of Hebrew doctrine (any doctrine to which they are applied). Applied Dialectics are an invention of the Students of George Hegel (Germany 1830s) who included the likes of: Bauer Brothers, Sterner, Feuerbach, Marx and Engels.

There has always been a rift between who our Father chose to make his covenant with (Ishmalites or Israelite's), when in reality he made his decision quite clear in Genesis 16 & 17.

There is a major train of thought indicates that the Judeo-Christian perspective perceives that Islam originated with Muhammad, and that Muhammad created Islam by borrowing heavily from both rabbinical Judaism and from Christianity (especially the Eastern churches and other apocryphal writings. As Islam originated in the seventh century CE as an amalgamation of Judaism and Christianity which changed many aspects of biblical accounts - ie... the Abraham and Isaac story became Abraham and Ishmael in Islam; God is unknowable whereas both Judeo-Christian teachings is that God wishes His creation to know Him and reaches out to Him in a quite revealing manner.
