The outcome from Normandy broke down the rest of the German Army. Normandy was the last strong hold controlled by the German Army, it was the last hope for them to continue to control for supplies. Instead, the allied forces took it over, by wearing down the German army and allowing the Allies to get support. Also it allowed territory for the Allies to be able to reach different areas of interest easier and now safely

The invasion in Normandy was considered a turning point in the war it gave the Allies a chance to attack Nazi German occupied Germany and then to join up with the Russians who were coming from the Eastern front of Europe, the making the 'big push' on Berlin, the heart of the Nazi regime.

Without d-day, the Germans would have had time to develop their Nuclear bombs and weapons.

Hope this helps!

If the Allies failed or were pushed back at D-Day, the Eastern Front would be Europe's only hope for liberation. The Allies threw it all to get into France, and succeeded.
