The Sons of Liberty took a very proactive stance against the Tea Act. When the Dutch East India Company supply of tea to be sold in the colonies arrived, the group dressed up as if they were Mohawk natives, stole aboard the ship that held the tea, and proceeded to throw the entire shipment into Boston Harbor. The event came to be known as The Boston Tea Party.
Quite simply they boarded a British trading ship and tossed all of the Incredibly expensive tea overboard, all bar one of the group was sent to jail simply as he went to the British trade authorities and ratted them out half of the group "disappeared" from any kind of records the others spent time in jail ranging from 5 to 16 years.(Price comparison then Box of tea worth similar to a box of fine diamonds) Bad Choice on their behalf's!
