A hero. The Germans thought they finally had a leader who stood up to the English and French victors of WW 1 who had been humiliating them and bled them dry under the peace treaty of Versailles that had been forced on Germany.

The same went by the way for the unification with Austria and the occupation of the Sudetenland and later, the conquest of Poland. You have to remember that Austria itself had asked for this unification in 1919 but that had been refused by the Allies; and the unification by Hitler in '38 had broad support in Austria as well as in Germany. Sudetenland and large pieces of Poland had been part of Germany until 1918 and simply been 'given away' by the Allies to the newly established States of Poland and Czechoslowakia, who then proceeded to chase tens of thousands of Germans out of their homes and jobs.

Who is Adolf Schicklgruber?

If you are referring to Adolf Hitler and whether he had the surname Schicklgruber, the answer is that Adolf Hitler's father, Alois had the surname Schicklgruber originally, but he chaned his surname to Hitler 13 years before Adolf was born, so there was never a Adolf Schicklgruber who became Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler was called Adolf Hitler from birth.Adolf Hitler was born on 20 April, 1889 in Braunau am Inn, Austria. His parents were Alois Hitler and Klara Hitler (nee Pölzl). Klara was his 3rd wife and his second cousin.Alois Hitler was born on 7 June 1837 as the illegitimate son of Anna Maria Schicklgruber and Johann Georg Hiedler. He went by the name of Alois Schicklgruber until he was 39, when, in 1876, his uncle, Johann Nepomuk Hiedler, included him in his will on the condition that he change his name to Hiedler. As a result of dialectic variations the name change was recorded in the church registry of the parish of Döllersheim on 4 June 1876 as Alois Hitler. On 6 January 1877, the name change was officially confirmed and Alois Schicklgruber became Alois Hitler, which secured him his share of the inheritance. In the 19th Century there were several variations of the name in Austria: Hüttler, Hiedler, Hittler and Hitler depending on region and dialect and all variations were pronounced more or less the same. It is accepted that the variations are derived from Hütte (hut) and was probably used to refer to a peasant or small holder. As to why Alois Hitler did not correct this mistake and ensure that his new surname was correctly recorded as Hiedler is debatable. Journalist and histororian Wolfgang Zdral wrote in his book The Hitlers: "[Alois] probably liked the idea that he could distance himself from his ancestry with this variation. As "Hitler" he would begin a new branch of the family tree and as a dynastic progenitor he would found his own clan".

Why did Hitler like people with blue eyes and blonde hair?

Hitler had the idea that the "superior" genetics were ones with blue eyes and blonde hair. And since he didn't like anyone else. He liked the angelic look of the Aryan causasians. Most of the people he persecuted were Jews, Romani people, homosexuals, disabled individuals, slaves in Eastern Europe, Poles, Soviet POWs, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Serbs. Adolf Hitler didn't have blonde hair and blue eyes - he had brown hair and blue eyes [appear brown in Black and white]. --- Hitler himself didn't talk about blue eyes and fair hair but he thought that Aryans were better than Jews. He didn't like Jews because they represented a culture that would not be assimilated into a unitary society, to be absolutely controlled by a secular government. (see the related question)

What is 1935 Hitler Coin of 5 RM worth?

The so-called 1935 Hitler 5 RM coin is nothing more than a valueless fantasy fake. Hitler's effigy did not appear on any coins, though it did on stamps, with the possible exception of a small number of patterns commissioned in 1933. Unfortunately, this rubbish often turns up on eBay, who deal with it inconsistently, and on iOffer to name but two sites. The eBay buyers seem to know absolutely nothing about coins and pay singularly stupid prices for this and similar.

What was Europe doing as Nazi Germany began ignoring the treaty of Versailles?

The policy of appeasement was designed to avoid European war. Britain, France & others were pursuing a policy of disarmament to appear less threatening. Hitler took this as a sign of weakness and was not ameanable to negotiaton, as the Munich Agrement shows. Had the Allies acted more sternly when Hitler re militarised the Rhineland it might, I say might, have been all so different, but that's hindsight for you.

Yes he did due to the racism of his father, and that was because his father had many fails with the Jewish people. ____ Very little is known about the views of Hitler's father and there is no evidence for the above. Was there a bank note with Hitler on it?

There weren't any official banknotes with his face on it and certainly no German banknotes. Some say this is because Hitler thought this was too monarchal. His face does appear on some emergency banknotes from Spain, mostly side by side with General Franco.

How did Adolf Hitler cause so much devastation?

Adolf Hitler was able to convince all the Germans that they were the Superior race and that most of all people of Jewish heritage were evil and a bad race and they needed to be exterminated. So under Hitlers power Germans began to attack countries without warning catching them off guard and taking more and more land and rounding up Jews bringing thing to camps where they were killed. Hitler was also against the retarded.AnswerAdolf Hitler and his policies were able to cause such total devastation in Europe because he used every one and every resource to pursue his personal vision; a vision that had little basis in reality. He saw himself as the creator, the master of this vision with the whole world to hale and admire his achievement. He invented a source to blame for the country's hardships of that time and invented a 'cure' for the problem. He looked for vulnerable groups to become the slaves to help build his dream, or eliminate and take all of their land and their property. Hitler was able to gain much support for his goal because, in the short term, his methods succeeded; well at least he had the public charisma to make it appear successful. Hitler had very little wisdom or foresight and gained initial power through subterfuge and lies (burning the Reichstag and murdering key officials), a policy doomed to failure in the long term. When all of the people and resources of Germany were exhausted, Hitler committed suicide. A common ending for family annihilators and other criminals to avoid facing who they really are and what they have done.
