How do I avoid getting the message What questions add no value to Wikianswers when I ask a funny question just for humor?

If you ask a fun question on wikiAnswers, you must be sure to select the right category for it. Select 'Humor and Amusement Corner', or a sub-category such as 'Jokes and Riddles'.
Without that clue, the question may be tossed out with the 'junk' questions.
Many children send in useless, silly, half questions just to be annoying or out of boredom. The busy volunteers on WikiAnswers toss them out automatically so they can get back to answering real questions.
Don't let that happen to your funny questions. Pick the right category.

You can thank people at wikianswers by either recommending them because they have answered your question or any other questions. Or you can also leave a message on that person's message board and thank him/her personally.

No, anyone can answer questions on Wikianswers. However, if you are planning to use this site often, it is recommended that you sign up as a member. It gives you additional facilities like a watch list, a message board, a history page. You can also choose to be notified when your question is answered.

By adding a question, answering a question, editing an answer or question, adding or getting rid of categories on a topic, or sending a message to another contributor. You can keep track of you contributions by making a WikiAnswers account.
Why does it say there is a problem with your question?
WikiAnswers has certain rules about what can be in a question and what cannot, such as no profanity is allowed, and certain punctuation marks, like commas, for instance, cannot be put in questions on WikiAnswers because of the way the website is formatted. If you are a registered user on WikiAnswers it should keep a record of the questions you ask. If it is not doing so then there is a bug that needs fixing. Message a supervisor with the evidence.

You can't make people answer your questions unless you use mind control. If you become a member of WikiAnswers, you can search the WikiAnswers community to find an experienced member who looks like they can answer your question. You can leave them a message on their board with a link to your question. This will increase the chance that they will get to your question quickly. Note: WikiAnswer contributors are constantly answering, merging, and organizing questions, so they may not be able to get to your question right away - so be patient. Also, take the time to place your question in the proper category where it is more likely to be answered. Otherwise it goes into the uncategorized section which contains a ~35,000 question backlog.
