DETAILS ON MY ISSUE
This is how my setup is currently. PC>>Audio Sound Bar with multiple inputs/outputs>>TV
My PC only has a DVI out for video and Optical for audio. I got an DVI to HDMI cable and I plugged it into my sound bar and I also got an optical cable going to my soundbar. Now when I select the correct input (its set to DVD) I can only get video. Its like the soundbar will only allow the audio or the video to come through. I have unplugged the hdmi and the audio comes in fine. I have also tried to put the audio on one input and the HDMI on another but obviously that doesn't solve my issue either because you cant pick more than one input.
Although you can connect TV to PC via DVI to HDMI cable, the picture quality is not guaranteed. This is not recommended by manufacturer.
Yes. But most PCs do not have a DVI output, so you will need to purchase an adapter.

You will need a DVI cable. Note that DVI can be a digital signal, an analog signal or both. Look in the manuals the see which the computer and monitor support. It is normally digital, which might be referred to as DVI-D. If analog is supported, it will be called a DVI-A. A DVI connection that carries both will be called a DVI-I. If you find you have a choice, use the digital signal rather than the analog.
I have an app called Zimly a well featured media player app, which helps me to connect my PC to TV. I use Zimly to transfer my media files from my PC to my smartphone, or to my TV using chromecast. With the help of Zimly I am able to watch my favorite videos on the big screen. Try Zimly to connect your PC to your TV.
You cannot connect a HDMI to a VGA video output on a computer. VGA is an analog signal and the DVI adapter connects it to the analog pins on the DVI cable (a DVI-I cable has both analog and digital pins). A HDMI to DVI cable connects to the cable's digital pins, therefore, no connection is being made. The easiest way to do this is to upgrade your computer's video card to one with a HDMI output. These can be purchased for less than $50.00, and will allow you to connect your computer to your TV with one cable and no adapters.
You would need a Video card with DVI port and a cable with a DVI connector on one side and two DVI/Analog connectors on the other side.
you can connect an Internet to a computer using broadband
In a PC, an optical transiever is a computer chip. It works by using fiber optic technology which allows it to communicate between the computer and other devices.
Not at all. The requirement is that the television has an input that is compatible with the PC. This may be a VGA input, RGB input, HDMI or DVI.Note that if the computer has a DVI output, a DVI to HDMI lead can connect the dsplay to a television although it won't have an audio signal.
The computer probably uses and HDMI or DVI connector. You can purchase an adapter from most computer retail outlets.
Either use a crossover cable or connect them using a hub, switch, or router.
