How do I fix a 2004 Ford Taurus that hesitates and surges when slowly accelerating after a cold start?

Change the PCV valve and hose assembly. What happening is the hose assembly develops a pin hole and sucks itself shut which in turn restricts the vacuuming of the crankcase. I had this problem and this will solve it. BTW you have to get the part from the dealer around $30.
