Changing the Cabin Filter for 2010 Equinox 6cyl 1. Open and empty glove box. 2. Find stopper tab at the top(It's used to stop the glove box when fully open) 3. Push it up and out of the way so the glove box can open to its full extent. 4. Behind the bottom of the glove box door is a hinge the glove box uses to swivel forwards and backwards. With glove box open to its full extent, you just have to lift it off of the hinge. May require a little wiggling. 5. After the glove box is removed you will be able to see a black plastic cover with a round shape (covers the fan? which sits horizontal). Above is a rectangular door with two tabs keeping it shut. Both tabs need to be pushed up so the door can swing up, giving you access to the filter. 6. Pull out the old filter (Screwdriver may be needed to work loose if very dirty) 7. Carefully install new filter making sure you do not damage it. 8. Position glove box at its fully open position and work it onto the hinge. 9. To close it you will have to push it through the stop that you had to push in step 3. 10. Now you should be able to fully close the glove box and you are done.
