Remove the EGR valve vacuum lines. Remove the EGR valve retaining screws. Wash the EGR valve in hot water. Allow the valve to thoroughly dry before installing it.
Replace if failed.
first buy one from somewhere then remove plastic covers disconnet negative battery cable then remove clamp then remove to bolts rear bolts are a pain in the assss then clean everything

in my exsperience egr valve code not usually the culprit try to clean all intake parts w/carb cleaner fuel inj cleaner may need to check fuel to air mix valve and remove and clean also clean butterfly valve for intake very well if thiis doesnt work repost tom and ill walk u thruogh the rest Tom my question is on 1997 ford exploer the code says insufficent flow to egr valve but replaced everything pertaining to egr system
The transmission solenoid on a 1997 4l80e is located at the bottom of the valve body. If you want to get to it, you would have to remove the tranny pan.
Clean EGR valve, maybe stuck open with carbon
It is located on the driver's side right below the air cleaner. You may have to remove the carbon canister to get it.
1. Mark your plug wires 1-4 2. Remove your plug wires 3. Take off the 2 to 3 hoses connected to the Valve Cover. 4. Remove the 4 bolts from the coil packs and remove coil packs 5. Remove 6 bolts from Valve cover. 6. Clean up valve cover and make sure no gasket is left over. 7. Put new gasket on and repeat this in reverse for installation. Note: You will have to call Autozone or a local dealership to find out the torque specifications on your valve cover bolts. I usually replace them, but it is not necessary.
Is it a 12 valve engine or 24 valve? What do you mean by speedometer sensor? Do you mean Vehicle speed sensor? If so why do you want to change that?
