the answer to your stuck key problem is call a locksmith any reasonably good locksmith should be able to remove repair or replace your lock and keep the key so it matchs the other locks on the carWhen you get the doors open, take the door panel off (take out the bolts for the handle and the panel just pulls off) with the window up, you can take the clip off the back of the lock, disconnect the rod at the lock and pull the lock out. then take it to the locksmith(see answer above)ANSWERYOU COULD GO TO A LOCK SMITH BUT THERES A POSSIBILTE THAT ITS YOUR DOOR IF ITS YOUR DOOR YOU HAVE TO GO TO A FORD DEALER AND GET A REPAIR

Open the door and in the lock itself is a keyhole. Insert your ignition key into the hole in the lock and turn a quarter turn. This will lock the child lock and obviously ,turn in the other direction to unlock. Rory
I think you're referring to a 'kiddy lock' which is located on the end of the door as opposed to the outside or inside of the door or the end where the hinges are. On my 1998 Mondeo Ghia, there is no button to activate the kiddy lock. There is however, a slot for the car key to fit in, where you simply insert the key and turn whichever way works to lock & unlock the kiddy lock device.

First you attempt to remove the bolt with an 'ease out' type tool. If that fails you then must either: take the head off to have it drilled, or drill it on the car, then thread and insert a thread repair insert.
Depends on the type of car. Every new lock I have purchased has instruction with it for that particular model. Some are held in with a screw or pin. Some have a spring loaded stud that you depress with a paperclip or similar straight pin and it pulls out, it just depends on what you are working on.
If it is stuck in park it is most likely the brake lock switch on most cars there's a cable and switch at the shifter from the brake pedal when you push on the brake pedal the switch pulls out and unlocks the shifter so you can shift the car out of park. Some cars have a little slot by the shifter where you can insert a key to unlock the shifter.
Insert key into lock, twist right, door unlocks.
